Good morning and today was not an easy practice for me. I just started practicing meditation recently so it was quite interesting that Adriene added this to our practice today. A lot of today was all about breathing. This was not easy to do. My energy was ready to get my stretch going so I really had to discipline myself today.
Today we started off slow stretching our neck and a spinal stretch with our elbows. We stretched our shoulders so far so good right. We stretched our legs side to side and then comes the breathwork.
Breath count from 4 counts all the way to 8 counts. We do breath count and work our way to the 8 counts. I could only go up to the 6th count. I struggled with the 8 counts. I don't know about anyone else but for me, this is not an easy practice. My mind started to wonder, I was frustrated with this breathwork.
I finished this practice with a new outlook of breath and how important it is to focus on your own body and breathing. Even though this was difficult I gained a lot of knowledge and wanting to learn from today's practice.
